Fireside Chat with Megan Philipp - “Hyper-Mobility Syndrome: Friend or Foe?”

Welcome to the Fireside Chat! This series was designed to provide runners and the general population easy to absorb information regarding health & wellness, running mechanics, nutrition, strength training, and injury prevention. As the series progresses, we will cover a myriad of topics and speak with different professionals in the health & running community.

In this 15th edition, we had a great conversation with guest, Megan Philipp. Megan is a Physical Therapist and the Clinic Director of Armor Physical Therapy in Richland, Michigan. HSD is a joint & connective tissue disorder which presents with extreme flexibility, pain, and other symptoms. This can be frustrating to manage but, fortunately, Megan is an expert on this topic and will help provide you with a deeper understanding moving forward.

In this Fireside Chat, we covered a variety of topics, including…

  1. Megan’s background and experience with Hyper-Mobility Syndrome Disorder (HSD)

  2. What is Hyper-Mobility Syndrome?

  3. Why it does AND does not matter as much as we think?
