Join Kalamazoo’s local running experts, Dr. Anthony Kopp and Garrett McLaughlin, on Saturday, January 20th at 11:30am-1:00pm for an interactive, learn-by-doing workshop for runners. We’ll be covering, “The 5 Pillars of Running Injury Prevention & Performance,” to help you become faster and more resistant to injury.

Let’s face it, running is a tough sport. In addition to putting in the miles, you need to create a strong & reliable foundation to ensure your body can withstand the pounding. This is only possible when understanding your body’s own strengths & weaknesses, and diligently incorporating the right corrective and strength training exercises alongside your training.

During this 90-minute seminar, you’ll learn our proven 5 pillar system to improve running performance, including:

  1. Why injuries happen with a review of running biomechanics & training errors

  2. Basic self-assessments to identify your weak links which may be limiting performance and predisposing you to injury

  3. Effective corrective exercises & drills to restore muscular imbalances and function at your best

  4. Strength training recommendations to build tissue capacity & running speed

  5. Coaching strategies on how to execute a successful periodized running plan
